One hour of Continuing Ed. of Radio Communications: Talked about the radios and reviewed questions with Jan V.  Ran pager tests.  Corny tower down.  Jan reminded us to use plan text.  If the ambulance is paged to a MVA a local fire dept. should be paged too. If the “Jaws of Life” is needed Port Wing needs to be paged.  If a fire dept. is not paged call dispatch.  A note, phone call, or e-mail will be sent to Paul about the issue.

 

Minutes from September meeting approved as printed.

Marcia reported:

Old Business: WARDS Run Reports – very necessary to completely fill out run reports – all vitals – primary and secondary assessments - must include narratives   

 

EMS dinner went great.

 

Web site up-dates should be finished by Dec.  Laurie is working with Gene the webmaster.

 

If 2 fire depts. are paged make sure the person requesting the 2 fire depts. sets up IC.

 

Sweat shirts will be ordered.  Pick your color before you leave tonight or your color will be black.

 

Oct. starts the refresher.  Discussion on dates and material covered.  6-10 p.m. at the hall.

 

Laurie reported that Laura form the Café is interested in doing a Chile Dinner done for us as a fund raiser every other year shared with the Port Wing Fire Dept. 

 

Reviewed charging for meds and supplies.  Dennis got prices for epi.  The town will review the price lists.  Marcia will get a list of equipment charges form Washburn.

 

Marcia will put plastic on the radio lists for in the ambulance.  Discussion on making labels for each radio followed.
