Talked about the Policy for Concealed Weapons : Pete, Gary Victorson, and Dan Clark are working on this.Until a policy is in place each EMT should be watching for any weapons and place in a safe area of the ambulance if one is found. Do not try to unload.
All hospitals will take the weapons, EMS should let them know in advance that we are bringing it with us and they will have security waiting to take the weapons. Make sure you document who you give the weapon to and a description of the gun.

Discussion on Fire Stand by: If you are at a Fire Stand By and another call comes in you will either need to call in Mutual Aid to take over stand by or take the call.
There needs to be an ambulance at the fire scene until I.C. has dismissed us.

Lengthy discussion on who can stand down the ambulance. Pete will do further investigation on this and get back to us.

Discussion on a new perspective EMT, they have not returned the application.

Training Video on Writing Documentation lasting 1 hour with discussion that followed.

Discussion on Realignment held, tabled at this time.

Frank held a discussion on the Incentive, no new action taken.

No February meeting, if there would be an item that we need to discuss Pete will send out an email to all EMT's and would set up a short meeting to review at one of the refresher classes.

Meeting is set for March 5th.

Refresher to start 1/13/12, this will be held at the Town of Bell town hall, not sure who many will be attending, Pete has made arrangements for lunch on the 14th.
