Present: Tom, Gayle, Laurie, Frank, Cindy, Gus, Guy, Jenny, Patti, Marcia, Dennis, Travis, Joan, Larry Bergquist, Linda, Larry Fickbohm, Paul

Meeting called to order at 18:40 Laurie moved to approve the July minutes; seconded by Cindy. Motion carried.

Cindy reported on the BAC meeting. Dr. Schultz has ended the NARCAN pilot and now wishes all ambulances to carry NARCAN. All services were reminded that non-certified responders should not be in the back of the ambulance. The annual dinner/meeting will be held at the platter in Ashland. All people desiring to attend should RSVP by September 12, 2014. A Threat Liaison Officer class will be held on September 16th in Superior. EMTs were reminded that the primary EMT is responsible for completion of the run report, which should be finished within a week.

Reminder that next month’s meeting will be a training meeting dealing with trauma calls.

TOC news: as of 9-10-14 Tracy Pope will be the new clerk. Motion by Cindy to continue the quarterly ambulance checks per the incentive program, with the stipulation that all checks within a given quarter shall count regardless of when they are conducted. Seconded by Frank. Motion carried.

Trail Response Subcommittee reported that Port Wing is considering the purchase of a patient transport attachment for their UTV. A meeting is scheduled between SSA and Port Wing Fire Department on September 10, 2014 at 6:00 pm. Linda moved that SSA work with the PWFD to organize fundraising to purchase the attachment. Seconded by Larry Fickbolm. Motion carried.

Gayle reported that new positions were needed to lessen the load of the Ambulance Director. Discussion as to what those positions would be included a communications officer, ambulance maintenance, and quality assurance. EMTs were asked to email Gayle with any further ideas.

It was noted that October’s meeting is for the purpose of training and November 3rd will be our final business meeting of the year. Marcia will plan a dinner for December. Meeting adjourned at 20:21
