14 PULSELESS NONBREATHER (PNB)

1.                  Establish unresponsiveness.

2.                  Attach defibrillator and defibrillate as indicated.

3.                  Secure and maintain airway.  Consider C-spine precautions.

Ventilate with Bay-Valve-Mask or Pocket Mask at highest flow O2 available.

4.                  Complete Primary Survey.  Initiate BCLS as needed.

If certified, insert Advanced Airway per Airway Guidelines.

5.                  CALL FOR INTERCEPT.

6.                  Obtain history from bystander if possible.

7.                  Associated symptoms = follow appropriate SOG.

8.                  Obtain Secondary Survey, Vital Signs, Neuro Exam.

9.                  Contact Medical Control

10.              Monitor Vital Signs en route.
