OLD BUSINESS

Vest and shirts have arrived

Likely to receive $700 from quilt raffle

Marcia will send thanks you notes to: Pig Boil, Mike G, Jim R

All EMTs have not turned their licenses renewals into Marcia – Needs to be done – ASAP

NIMS training MUST be completed by 8/31/06

Corny Parade will be handles by Marcia and Carri – anyone donating baked goods can bring them to Marcia’s before Saturday, Aug 11

Dennis has started testing the little oxygen tanks – 4 have been sent in – as he needs more he’ll let folks know by email

Cot battery should be changed when anyone is at the hall

Communications: Marcia will listen to tape regarding a particular radio response on 8/4/06 call

Discussion of amending agreement with TOC. Motion approved to pay for books and tuition up front and the National Registry Fee when billed. The new EMT will receive mileage after 6 months of being on the South Shore roster.

WARDS – need to start practicing to send runs to Medical Director. Marcia will follow up with questions to Ann Moses and keep the group informed.

Continuing Education – Currently $250 per person, per year, service pay motel. Fiscal 2007 $100 annual/EMT can be claimed for mileage. Lengthy discussion about hotel arrangements at conferences. Males and females will not be required to share rooms.

Clothing – Discussion about budgeting for clothing – service no longer required to provide OSHA protective clothing. A $2000 clothing line item will be added to the budget request for fiscal year 2007

Frank, Laurie and Marcia will meet 8/15 to review budget.

Marcia to meet with Larry B after 8/15 to renew 1^st responder information

Air Conditioner – Marcia will look into prices for regular and reverse flow air conditioning units as well as installation costs.

Reminder – weekly ambulance checks need to be done and keep ambulance clean -  discussion followed regarding changing the number of ambulance checks required to one per quarter per EMT. EMTs are to review current incentives and it will be discussed next month.

County EMS Meeting – South Shore may be the host for the September meeting – 9/28. More to follow

Everyone is to return any 8 channel radio to the hall or to Marcia’s

CPAP – address received to apply for grant

Web Site – unavailable EMTs now on message board rather than separate heading.

Labor Day Weekend – all were asked if they wanted to run the speed gun as a money make at the Fall Festival in Port Wing. Need 2 people – only Orris was willing

Make Pope wants to meet  with Follis and EMS personnel to have a question and answer period. Will be schedule for 9/11/06. Meeting will be at 6 and Follis and Pope will begin at 7

Joan will set up a meth training with Tom Renz from Barnes. Possibly the 3^rd Wednesday in September. She will let everyone know when solid date is set.
