AprilApril 7th, 2008 PRESENT: Carrie, Marcia, Frank, Joan, Dennis, Pete, Cindy B., Larry, Gayle No treasure report. OLD BUSINESS: Move to accept old minutes as read with the exception the Joan was at the March meeting. First Responder class has started Paul I. and Larry B. will be the only 1st Responders left. Still need refresher certs handed in. Smelt Fry volunteers Sat 5-8 pm shift needed. Could use 5-7 more people to serve and clean up. Raffle tickets to be returned to Mindy S. or Pete ASAP. Received radio grant for the ambulance, will look into purchasing soon. Viewed new privacy act paper form ABS Medic. Added squares to sign off when handing the privacy papers to the patient or their family. They privacy paper should be given out a time of transport or left with patient at the hospital. " Remember to check off appropriate boxes on the medical form and leave with the run report. NEW BUSINESS: EMS week 5/18-5/24 Come up with ideas for the school. Question finger ID with the Preschool through 2nd grade. ? do we new parental permission Dr. Wesley coming here on Sunday in May (group preferred am) This will be to test off on skills St Lukes EMS recognition dinner 4/22/08. Sign up by 4/18/08 TBI Training 4/30/08 at the hall. Training to begin at 6 pm, will be 2.5-4 hours. Email has been sent to other departments to invite them to join in. 5/24/08 extrication training in Port Wing. ? lunch served. (Added later date is 5/31) Pete and Dennis talked on low angle rescue training and who may be interested. In the beginning stages at this time. Will discuss more at the Association meeting on the 17th. Need cleaning day for the hall. Atrovent P/P sent to Dr. Wesley for approval. Still need yearly HEPA mask and training. Grant was sent in for new ambulance. Weather training - 4/29/08 7 pm in Washburn if anyone is interested contact Jan. Pipeline Safety training, 4/30/08 @ 5:30 in IR (Same night as TBI training) EMTs need to help Sat 4/26/08 at Safety Fair in Ashland at the AG station. If interested contact Marcia for info. ? talk about putting small stove in the hall. Bring back ideas or concerns.
