Tam reported on EMS council meeting. The big issue is the new MMC hospital rating. Due the fact MMC can no longer have 24 7 coverage in the OR there rate is down to a level 4 hospital. Pending on the location of the call and the nature of the call you should call MMC before heading to MMC.

Pete wrote a letter to the area fire departments looking for new EMT's. Pete has put an ad in the Connection for the next few issues.

Pete reported on the changes in the radio bands coming next year

Pete reported the helmets are in. Two are in the ambulance one is on the back shelf. Everyone needs to wear a helmet on car crashes and on fire calls with charged lines.

Pete and Rhonda met with the fire departments and discussed continuing education with fire fighters and EMS. They will continue meeting and set up training sessions.

Pete has developed a Power Point for ICS training. The power point will be shown to the EMT's and fire departments. This power point will be shown later this summer or early fall.

All deaths need to be recorded in WARDS in with-in 24 hours. ABX fax forms are in the bottom left letter file on top of the desk in the hall. PLEASE NOTE THE NEW FAX NUMBER POSTED NEAR THE FAX MACHINE.

New Bus.: New forms have been added to the clipboard with the run sheets. They are in 3 parts. The service keeps the original. One form goes with the run sheet. One copy is for other agencies involved in the call.

This past week Pete had the ambulance in for repairs. The front end tie rods were replaced.

The Monday Evening Club and the Lions Club came together and bought the ambulance a GPS. Pete reviewed the GPS. Training TBA.

Frank reviewed Home Child Birth. Frank reviewed options if an arm or leg presented. The hospital recommended a chopper and an intercept ASAP.

New run sheets are needed. Discussion followed on options and style. Gayle will go to Heart Graphics to check on the options.
