November 7, 2011Meeting called to order Present - Pete, Marcia, Dennis, Judy, Laurie, Gayle, Joan, Dennis, Patti Secretary’s report presented in written form – approved Treasurer’s report read and approved. Laurie presented $1,181 check from Sounds of Sirens raffle Pete reported on BAC EMS meeting – concealed carry discussion – need to have uniform, safe, legal way to address. WISCOM will offer $5K grant for radio programming. There will be no matching funds necessary. County is hoping to offer county wide financial help. This would allow EMTs to have talk group elsewhere in the state and clearly to each other. AFG grant has been applied for by Pete for new grant for batteries and accessories. Sheriff will make decision is WISCOM is applied for or not. Firefighter rehabilitation guideline document was discussed. Cindy felt the NFPA-1584 should be referenced as the source of the information. It will be gone thru line by line for total fit to our needs. The manuals will be made and then given to all three fire departments. Marcia has a firefighter report sheet that would be filled out per fire. Pete will assist in customizing the form further to fit SSAA needs. She also has a card that each fire fighter would “be asked” if they would like to provide us with emergency contact and any health or medical information. If the firefighter chose to fill out the card it would be kept in a secure place in the rig. Laurie gave all EMTs present a draft of the 2nd half payroll’s first 5 months. Any changes should be given back to her by 11/19. She will email the balance to anyone not present. Each person is asked to fill in areas of information not completed. December 5 meeting - snacks at 6 with dinner following at the Herbster Community Center. RSVPs needed to Marcia by Thanksgiving. January 2, 2012 meeting will be held and February 6th meeting will be cancelled because of the refresher. 87% Non-compliance in LEADERS come from lack of face sheets, signatures and insurance information. Pete has purchased a scanner and donated it to the service. He demonstrated it’s use and how to attach information to LEADERS runs. We were all reminded of HIPPA laws. Infection Control book will be in the drawer right by the pass thru. Pete brought the information from a class he had attended. Reminder to all to be careful when putting toughbook into drawer so it doesn’t jam closed. School fire drill November 17 at 12:55 – any interested EMT is welcome to attend. Meeting Adjourned |
